22ABC heads to the amazing Island of Thailand!

With great pleasure, I warmly welcome the delegates of the 22ABC convening in Bangkok, Thailand. This esteemed gathering takes place in the vibrant capital of Thailand, a city renowned for its rich culture, dynamic energy, and status as a leading hub in Southeast Asia.

Even in major global cities like Bangkok, the lead-acid battery continues to play a vital role in people’s lives, from its traditional automotive applications to remote energy storage and backup systems. We must continually assess where the energy market is moving and ensure we remain at the forefront of these changes. The many challenges we face do not get any easier, but I am sure there will be rigorous discussion and debate on this and many other topics throughout the week.

The Technical Committee has focused on a balanced programme that addresses both the technical and commercial aspects of a growing and evolving industry. Over forty-five speakers will present on a wide range of topics covering many areas, including current market conditions across the world’s regions. They will provide deeper insight into the evolving dynamics of our industry and where the market is heading, as well as outline the latest developments in battery production.
